The Bulldog Way
All of our first grade Meadowbrook students can tell us that the Bulldog Way means we are Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. I think they memorized these words by the end of the first week of school! But, they have a much harder time defining these words and giving a variety of examples. We talked about what these words mean; what they look like in school, at home, and in the community. We also watched videos to show how other kids define these words. (Check out the video links below). You can follow up at home by asking your child to give an example of how they demonstrate the Bulldog Way at home:
What do they do that is safe?
What do they do that is respectful?
What do they do that is responsible?
**Share with them the ways that YOU are safe, respectful, and responsible at home and in your daily life! It is fun for them to see you make connections to their learning and use some of their school language!
