During our second lesson we read the book called When I Feel Angry by Cornelia Maude Spelman. It is a wonderful book that tells us that how we feel and how we act are very different. We may feel like yelling, hitting, or hurting but there are other things that we should actually DO or SAY to handle the anger.

- Going away from the person or thing that is making us angry
- Taking deep breaths (control our breathing)
- Exercising
- Doing something I really love to do
- Changing something about me (I might need to rest, cry, eat, or be alone)
- Changing something about the situation (I might need to get help from an adult if someone is being unfair or hurtful to me)
- Talking and listening to a friend or adult I trust.
